A San Francisco cable car holds 60 people. This blog was viewed about 1,000 times in 2013. If it were a cable car, it would take about 17 trips to carry that many people.
The students from school ‘Mihai Eminescu’ Roman and ‘St. Francis of Assisi’ High school Roman were invited to bring to school just healthy food, created motivational afiches and organized a campaign about this within their school and in community. Pictures were taken and published on the site.Also a volunteer campaign took place in order to make students aware of the concept of sustainable development: „The month of the water,air and energy”, when the students were invited to perform activities and to find ways of applying the principle of the 3 R’s in their lives.
Students from “Mihai Eminescu” school, Roman, Romania performed activities connected with the 3 Rs and the protection of the environment:building handicrafts from recycling materials, different symbols, puppets and exhibited them in the school and on the blog .

An activity of the Comenius “Volunteers of Hope” group from St. Francis of Assisi high school and their younger peers from “Mihai Eminescu” school.The children cooked 3 recipes from the common European cooking booklet and after they gave this food for charity to a poor family.

A colouring book for the little children made by our teams of students and teachers frem all the partner countries
For the meeting in Spain our students guided by the teachers of the Comenius team have made up a cookery booklet which contains 5 special recipes: a vegetarian one, another cooked without fire, one for the fasting periods,one traditional healthy meat dish and finall one specific to the religious holidays. Enjoy!

ROMANIA NATIONAL ANTHEM
Our groups “The volunteers of hope” from both Romanian schools were involved in different charitable activities during the month of December.
For example, taking as a reference point a passage from the Gospel of St. Luke (10, 1-9): “At that time, the Lord chose another seventy-two disciples and sent them two by two before it, in every city or place wherever he was going to pass. And he said, “The Harvest is over, but the laborers are few. Ask the harvest master to send workers to his harvest … “,the high school students participated first at the Holy Mass and after they went two by two in villages near Roman, in order to do good deeds and to help different people in need, after the example of the seventy-two disciples sent by Jesus.
Also the high school band “Franciscan Brothers” went to the school for children with psychiatric problems from Tg. Frumos, Iasi, to hold a concert for them.
Together with the high school drama team and under the guidance of Father Lucian Abalintoaiei they have staged aspects of human life, which touched the souls of the ill children and of everyone present.
